Raster
/ About
Est. 2014
Small on purpose, precise by habit.
Nine designers, developers and producers. One room, one long table, and a grid under everything we make.

(01) Our story
Twelve years at one table.
Four chapters
Chapter 01
2014

One desk
Raster began in an attic with a single desk and a single rule: draw the grid before the logo. The first client was a ceramics studio across the street.
Chapter 02
2018

Draw it, build it
We stopped handing designs to someone else to build. Design and code moved to the same table, and launches got calmer.
Chapter 03
2021

Motion joins
Brands started to move, so we gave every system an easing curve and a rhythm, the same way we give it a typeface.
Chapter 04
2026

Still nine
We turned down a merger to stay small. Nine people is enough to know every project by name.
(02) Values
What we work by.
01
Clarity over cleverness
If a layout needs explaining, it is not finished. We cut until the idea reads in one look.
02
Systems over pages
We design the rules that make pages, so your team can keep publishing long after we leave.
03
Speed is a feature
Every site we ship scores in the 90s on mobile. Fast is part of the brand, not a technical detail.
04
Say it early
We tell you what we think in week one, not at the final review. Honest notes save months.
05
Leave it better
Handover includes training, a component library and thirty days of support. Always.
